throwing a baby shower… advice.?
So I’m throwing a baby shower but I suppose its going to be a diaper baby shower? The mom doesn’t need anything as far as materials.. but diapers are always a plus! So were going to do a “diaper party”
So what I was planning on doing is everybody who comes and brings something diaper/wipes/creams etc… they are going to be entered to win a gift basked (not sure what’s going in it thinking a gift card to outback or something then a little bit of odds and end presents from the dollars store). Then I was going to have games and small prizes for each game, followed by some food to eat of course..
Any ideas on games, ideas or anything added to the party as to what to do or not to do?
Fun games we played: Diaper pins-everyone gets 5 pins and if you hear someone say “baby” you get to take their pin.
Baby Bingo-just like regular bingo only with baby related items.
Measure Mommy-everyone pulls sheets of toilet paper trying to guess how big the new mommy’s tummy is….not for the sensitive mom lol
Ice Ice Baby- freeze mini plastic babies in ice cubes and see who can get theirs to melt first in their cup without using their mouth (funny, people try and squeeze between their legs, hold it up to a light)
Guess the Mess- melt different candy bars in diapers (looks like nasty poop) and pass it around for people to guess what they are by looking and smelling lol
You can also request gift cards for the new mom in addition to diapers for places like Babies R Us, Target, etc. Just have fun and make sure the new mom gets to relax and enjoy her friends and family. Try not to stress her out with details or invites. Good luck!
