How to clean the mesh in a pen?

A friend of mine gave me his pack-n-play to use at home with my mother and me and me only to shape realized that the mesh part is very dirty! There are few traces of brown fingers and things around it (my friend is not the person's own!) Is there a way to clean the mesh? Does it come out of the structure in some way, to put it in the washer? I think too much money to mesh in a way, but do not spoil the party color of the pack-n-play. I am currently pregnant my first child, so this is all new to me. Thanks for the tips you can give!

Just take a damp cloth and hot washing put a little dish soap in it, are actually doing with soap and scrub away. Then return it with a hot towel wash clean (no soap) to rinse. Mr. Clean Magic Eraser get clean, too, but it breaks the sponge. It's worth the $ 2. even if she gets broken though.
