My new baby is very restless and seems to have trouble using the bathroom. What do I give?
I have a formula 2 weeks (the former Fed) The baby soon to 1 week of age, began to mourn when I needed to have a bowel movement. On 1st I thought he was constipated, but has at least 2 bowel movements per day and soft. I took him to the doctor who is taking charge of your doctor regularly to 10 and said nothing is wrong and then suggested 5 different over the counter drugs for different types of problems (colic, teething, etc.) and basically told everyone to try to see what work. Do not want to give my baby any medicines you need. I have not tried gas drops, but does not work. I know something is wrong, can not be normal for my baby to be in this great pain especially when he was wonderful in his 1st week. Please help.
Sounds like colic to me. My son has had. He cried and rubbed knees to the chest. This would go for 2-3 hours at night for about 4 months old. I just walk the floor with him. It was so quick as it came. None of these drugs are effective for colic.
